Special Education Graduate Certificate - Licensure
Overview
This program option is designed for students who hold their Bachelor's degree and would like to complete the coursework and clinical experiences to become licensed in K-12 General Special Education by the state of New Hampshire. Students in this option would begin their courses in the summer and complete their course work for licensure by the following May. Students who complete this option would be eligible to complete their Master’s degree the following year. All students are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and meet the decision points for the program.
Admissions Criteria
Earned a Bachelor’s degree. Preference given to candidates with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. Be employed at least half-time in an approved educational setting or be enrolled in an approved internship for the duration of the program. Passed the New Hampshire Basic Academic Skills Assessment and demonstrated their knowledge of the Professional Education Standards.
